Bruna is a Bernese Mountain Dog. She was born on 27 March 2004 and lives in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, UK.

A little bit about Bruna...

Bruna can be VERY stubborn. Especially when it comes to walking. If she decides she's had enough exercies, she will just lie down on the spot (as demonstrated in the picture to the left). The worst 'drop on the spot' that Bruna has managed, was a zebra crossing, when out walking with her 'dad'.

This picture was taken when she refused to walk the 20 yards around the corner, to reach her car, that would take her home. Since this day, the car now gets parked on the driveway, not around the corner. Bruna is very good at training her humans!

Because Bruna isn't keen on walking, her owner brings her over to see us several times a week, so that we can go for a walk together. Bruna is much more interested in exercise when it is with other dogs!

One of Bruna's favourite games on a walk is to play 'bouncer' with the soppy dogs. She places herself on the path between us (the humans) and the soppy dog, who usually doesn't dare move a muscle. If only they knew how harmless she is!

The picture to the right depicts Bruna with one of her previous friends, Sorrel Labrador.

Sadly, Sorrel is no longer with us, as she ate slug bait on some farm land and died from the poison. Please be careful with the stuff that you put out in your garden and be aware that greedy dogs will find slug bait and rat poison tasty .

One of Bruna's favourite things is food. Food will always put a smile on her face. She's especially interested in food when there is competition around, so she only chews on raw hides when she comes to my house. She hardly ever touches them when she's at home.

Bruna has a soft spot for black Labradors, boys in particular. The picture shows her and one of her admirers, Sam Labrador, after a fun and exhausting play session (where Bruna spent most of her time lying on her belly, waiting for Sam to come and nibble her). She's nothing if not lazy!.
